National Workshop of the First Line Project in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

Between 26 – 28 March 2018, within the framework the EU funded First Line project composed of Slovenia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia in close cooperation with the EU RAN Centre of Excellence and IISG Support Group, organised an interactive workshop in Skopje, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The objectives of the workshop were:

  • to raise awareness of all relevant partners preventing radicalisation that lead to violent extremism at the local level;
  • to prepare grounds and support the setting up of pilot Prevent-Refer-Address Mechanism(s) in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia;
  • to equip partners of the future P-R-A Mechanism with the knowledge and expertise acquired as a good practice within the EU RAN Centre of Expertise.

The workshop is a well-coordinated effort of the international community and supported by the IISG, as it reflects one of the top priorities of the recently endorsed WBCTi Integrative Action Plan 2018-2020.
